Custodio disclosed that she was among those who eagerly waited for the pageant results last Sunday.
“It was toss up eh, all of the girls were very beautiful and smart and very confident [especially] during the question and answer portion. We really didn’t know. But happily, Shamcey actually made it,” she said.

Supsup admitted that it has been a while since she last visited General Santos City, and she sould not have been more excited about the homecomng. Dedicating her triumph to her family based in the City, she also added, “Lahat ng ito bale wala kung wala ang papa ko, [ang] pamilya ko.”

On "TV Patrol," her message to her family was, "Hindi ako magiging ganito kung hindi sa pagpapalaki niyo sa akin, pati ni Mommy. Lahat 'to ginagawa ko not just for myself but for my family also."

Beaming with pride, her father told ABS-CBN News, “Nagpapasalamat ako sa kanya, dahil bilang ama, nagbigay siya ng achievement na hindi ko inaasahan, na talagang mangyayaring magiging Binibining Pilipinas siya.”

Supsup bested 39 other contestants who competed in this year's pageant. Aside from winning the Bb. Pilipinas-Universe title, she also collected three special citations: Best in Talent, Miss PAL, and Miss Cream Silk.

Supsup graduated Magna Cum Laude from the UP College of Architecture. She also topped the Architecture board exam in July 2010.

She will represent the Philippines in the Miss Universe pageant to be held in Sao Paulo, Brazil on September 12, 2011.
